The Role:

The Royal Children’s Hospital is currently seeking expressions of interest from prospective candidates to undertake a traineeship as a Health Services Assistant – HLT 33115 Certificate III.

Patient Services Assistant responsibilities are to provide indirect patient care, contributing to the maintenance of a welcoming, clean environment for all and supporting the clinical areas through the delivery of equipment and cleaning services.

The traineeship will take approximately six months to complete and undertaken externally. Full training costs will be paid for, subject to the successful completion of the course. In addition to the traineeship you will be guaranteed to work a minimum of 13 hours per week, although you will be expected to cover more shifts (up to 5 shifts a week is common). Shifts are determined by our relieving pool and will vary to include morning, afternoon and night shifts, occurring Monday through to Sunday.

Candidates must have reasonable availability throughout the week.
